Virtual Shrine For the Burning Flame

So, we have a place where we can add candles for those who are requesting healing, or just about anything else.

I think it's kind of neat.

My daughter-in-law called me last night, and my son is in the hospital with some tupe of intestinal blockage. He has a nasogastric tube, is receiving IV fluids and nothing by mouth, and is getting IV pain meds every 3 hours.

My daughter is a nurse too (like me), so she will keep me informed clinically.

They live 900 miles from me. I have been so worried, I read last night till 2am then got up and have been on computer ever since...just can't sleep.

Permalink Reply by ShaamAnsu on January 16, 2009 at 7:30am: I'd like to request healing energies and blessings for Kasey, my nephew's wife. She has Stage 4 ovarian cancer. She had multiple surgeries back in the summer, was on chemo from July to the last of November. Her levels were down really well at that time. My sister was in Alabama taking care of her for 6 months, and it looks like she will have to go back soon.

There is some lymph node involvement now. She will have exploratory surgery again on Monday, January 19 to remove the affected lymph nodes, and hopefully it has not spread to any vital organs yet.

Her prognosis was 2 years, and we were hoping she could have a good quality of life for most of that. She is a strong, no nonsense person. She doesn't wear a cap to cover her bald head. She just goes around like it's normal. If anyone asks her why she doesn't wear a hat...she just says, "this is easy to take care of"...lol.

My sis and I lost our brother a few years ago from cancer...so this isn't easy to deal with. Kasey is such a beautiful inside and out, vibrant lady.; ▶ Reply to This
