We've all heard the terms "global warming" and "climate change" - but they are generally viewed as something that's not going to happen "soon".

Well we have news - the first noticable shift has already happened. This is July - mid-summer in PA - and the leaves are turning. At least 2 months early!

And the critters have noticed - they're already stocking up for winter, which they usually begin doing in late August.

So does this mean an early winter? Probably not. We're in for a long Autumn, followed by a short hard winter, then a long spring.

Well that's my prediction anyway

Weather patterns here have been shifting somewhat steadily for the last ten or so years. We used to have constant winds of between fifteen and thirty miles an hour. Now a days, we have much less wind. But now, when it does blow, it is significantly more intense 40 to 60 mph with the occasional micro burst in the 100s. We are seeing an increase of tornado activity. New Mexico is not known for tornado activity of any kind.

Snow patterns have changed. We have been in a constant state of drought for over 18 years. We have seen an alarming loss of nearly all of our pollinators. Hummingbirds are few and far between along with Butterflies and Bees. Though more bees are around this year, they are our local variety more than any other.

The Times, They Are Indeed A'Changin'...

This year was the first in the last five years or so when we actually had our normal 'monsoon' season start though it lasted only about half as long as it normally does.

Global Warming is definitely here, and here to stay. Whether we will ultimately survive this experience is still hard to say. But it's not gonna be pleasant, that's for sure.

if ya really want to know I believe its weather war fare , we have the ability now to shift weather patterns , I just watched a documentry on this and was amazed , I figure if the countrys can fight with guns , they will change the weather and of course this could cause millions and billions of dollars in damage and the cost of life as well , just as the military is killing all the fish with their divices in the water , these rays impact the fish and they in turn die or beach themselfs , so if anything man is doing this MP

*just hears Jekyll & Hyde*

Jekyll singing:

"The one rule of life we can not rearrange
The only thing constant is change.
The only thing constant *dramatic beat* is change."

I love that show! Totally off topic, but I couldn't help myself. :)
