The idea of this group is to create a space where we can receive from and give to each other. Hence the name "Kindnessing Exchange" A place to exchange metaphysical gifts, talents and skills. I wil elaborate later

Kindness Exchange

A bit of background first as to how the idea for this group emerged.
A few weeks ago I was going through an "emotional confusion" moment (or more)
A very lovely lady on this site offered to do a Tarot reading for me, and I agreed.
I have never had a Tarot reading done before. Later when I received the email containing my Tarot reading I was speechless at how accurate it was. Another lovely Lady offered to do an Animal Oracle reading ..which also left me in awe.

I wanted to return this kindness and wondered how I could do this as I had nothing to offer in exchange.

(There is a theory that says "it is as equally as powerful to receive as it is to give"....)

So I thought some more (ouch) and I realised that I have Angel cards that I use all of the time , so I then in return did an angel card reading for this lovely Lady.

So here's my thinking. Wouldn't it be nice to create a space where we could exchange. And if you are wondering "Hmmm..I don't read Tarot or Angel cards or Oracle cards (of all sorts)..so I have nothing I can exchange" then here is an option.

You can exchange a kindness. So for example, someone does a reading for you, you can promise to do an act of kindness somewhere in return. Maybe in your community or even in your home.

So we still have exchange.

Another Example for you !!

Myself and Whitering were chatting earlier today (as women do) and Whitering came up with the idea of soul paintings. So..whitering, or other artists on site get to know a little about you .......and in exchange for something...........paints a picture of your soul......

hmmm.... not a very good explanation was it

My mam is pretty poorly, maybe just a few weeks left, my dad is devastated, so I try to see them both every day. My son has just left home and joined the forces, great for him, I am soo proud of him for all he has achieved, my relationship seems to be going down the pan as my 'partner' just cant offer me any support, is so cold and distant, I have asked for some space and am now being punished. Finances seem to be spiraliing out of control, one teen left at home, but oh the bills!!!! I have counted my blessings and there are soo many, but yet I feel I need something, something just for me. I have re engaged with Reiki but its hard to pick up when so much seems to be changing......thank you ....love and hugs xx

I have been trying to find my path for a while now, I am searching for what feels like home to me. I need help with a few things first and foremost I need to restore my faith in myself, I have been on what seems much like a bad karmic loop, I need to replace the negative mantra in my life with one more positive and enlightening. I feel like I put out so much kindness, I make a habit of being there for everyone, but never for myself. That in it self is no kindness to me I spose. My husband and I have been struggling with infertility for almost seven years now, this is one part that makes my faith struggle most visible. I am also trying to find a new job in order to not live paycheck to paycheck., and too keep my husband from feeling like he needs a second job, the USAF keeps him busy enough anyways. I can offer kindnses in the form of and open heart and mind, i have always been a great listener and seem to have wisdom beyond my years. I have a very diverse skill set, nothing path specific as I am still and always learning and looking for teachers. I write poetry, although I have been blocked as of late.

If everyone was kinder to each other...maybe peace would flow more freely. Love & hugs xx

Comment by julian on February 10, 2009 at 9:37am: hi very intresting subject..i think the key and secret into being happy is to basically destroy that in you which really is not part of you in energy,flesh,mind etc..I SEE that desires are just ideals and nothing but an expirence that can lead no where.Materilsm is the sole killer and mind killer of all.The ruler of most is the ego.That thing which cries out look at me look at me.and it will go to anymlenghs to create it own identity,it even uses the excuse or creates a reason for such a behavioral pattern.I think that self as we understand ourself is really seen in other people.When we give gifts do we really give gifts for that person.or is it that we give gifts to feel good about ourselves..It does feel good to help some one admitingly especially if that thought is second to the reason.Most of the time gifts come first of the reason andthe reason is teh ego.I think when one can push away the material self,and replace it with the nothingness or as i like to see it everything is nothing.then what ever you give there is no self attached and its pure

I was moved by the pic below to comment. It is one of the prettiest things I have ever seen. The green really speaks to me and the brilliance from within the teepees....calls to my heart. I could just stare at this forever. Can you imagine being there in person....I think I would just burst with awe. Mother Nature sure is resplendent in her beauty.

Then I learned that some people are born with an inner need to help people. we all have the need to be needed, useful or productive, for some people that is much stronger than in others. You should always remember that some of us are like me, when you want to do everything yourself. You are depriving us, of a chance to fulfill an emotional NEED that we have.
