Hi. I am new to PaganMystics. My picture is of me (Annie) and Phil. We are a musical duo and life partner. We are from Palo Alto, CA. I'm a big fan of Rush (I see that you are too Der Trommler), psychedelic rock and folk such as Donovan, It's a Beautiful Day, Jefferson Airplane. Both Phil and I recently fell in love with Elvis. I never thought I would be an Elvis fan, but I had a realisation at Graceland last year. I recently rediscovered The Cars. I like Stevie Nicks, Kate Bush and Loreena McKennit. One of my songs is posted on my profile. I will post some of my songs here too.
Music is very important to me. In fact I consider it a spiritual path in itself. Phil and I are performers, teachers and recording artists.

I went to see Nighwish live the other night and they were awesome. I miss Tarja though, but the new gal Annette is terrific, a little pop sounding for me with such orchestrated metal. (Kinda like Kelly Clarkson singing with Godsmack or something) but she puts on a great show. I was surprised how good they were live considering the amount of production that goes into their CDs. (i.e. recording with the London Philharmonic for example). And yeah, Jonathan, I like rap, but not the real hardcore stuff. I like Jay Z with Beyonce, or Black Eyed Peas. I guess that doesn't make me a rap fan. Rhymically it's of course great. (I work as a professional vocalist on weekends in a cover band and we put some rap stuff in there to try to make everyone happy...I don't do the rap obviously...)
