The great gaels of Ireland are the men the gods made mad, for all their wars were merry, and all their songs were sad.

Kicks Brandan....All this is well and good, but being a LaVeyan Satanist doesn't make you any more Pagan than being a Catholic priest. It makes me proud to know that I am a Celtic Pagan, knowing that when MY gods flourished, they weren't satans', ...

Honoring the land for the land's sake?...No I personally don't think the Celts (of any flavor) would have separated themselves from nature by giving it worship...All things were of equal value, even if a life had to be given for an herb...Oh look ...

I am sure others will point out such examples as the “land” choosing the King in Ireland or as some have pointed out the strong connection to water, rivers and wells. Now the question I raise is – were those nature elements honored because they we...

Semantics? There are no semantics in nature, these are our crosses to bare. Out there things are simple, survive or be someones shit. As for nature worship? Way to many have lived in the city for so long that they feel that appreciating the 'green...

About Me
Hails, and welcome to my new PaganMystics page! Having been wrongly accused, and executed, I have returned from the land of the dead to continue my work here on our Network. I am a practicing Celtic Reconstructionist, Traditional Irish Draio, and a polytheist for 18 years. I am an avid hunter and outdoors-man. I look forward to working with every one of our members to help create a more complete picture of Paganism for others to follow, to create a meaning that will be mutually beneficial to all! May we each share what we know, to the benefit of one and all!

I love my lala, first of all, she is a guiding light for this Druid, I like deep forest treks into Custer state park. That began in the Ozark mountains when I was very young. I like Fishing, hunting, being in an Irish centered town like the one I am in. I like sharpening knives, it's one of my hobbies, I see no purpose in a dull knife. When I'm not outdoors, I love to read books like those cited above, I enjoy studying Celtic texts, mostly Irish, but I love them all. It is interesting to find the similarities in the texts and lore of peoples who had no connection to one another, perhaps a link from earlier times and cultures.
Dislikes
I don't like people who get mad in a simple debate, I don't like willful ignorance, or people who interpret facts to support their own conclusion. People who are not interested in the truth of history because they think their views are ancient/
What's one thing you'd like to be remembered for when you pass?
Helping to preserve Irish tradition and history.
What Do You Expecte to Get out of This Site?
Learning and teaching.

Strength and Honor

I am posting this as a blog on my page for two reasons. The first being because I don't think I've ever posted a blog on Mystics, and secondly because I'm not sure this should be a public thread. This way - I suppose if friends and other members would like to add something they can, but I won't be bad mouthing others in thread. Hard to tell others not to do that, if I can't do it myself.

As many know, it wasn't that long ago that I lay on what was far to close to being my death bed, being tol… Continue

Greetings: I see you hail from South Dakota. My family and I are planning a vacation in the Black Hills this summer, and I thought it might be nice to connect a bit with the pagan community while we are there. Usually we like to time our travels to coincide with a Pagan Pride Day or public CUUPS ritual. I've been unable to find any evidence of public groups, festivals or gatherings in the Black Hills. Do you know of anything in the area that would be of interest to an earth-based family? Thanks for reading this message. blessings, Susan
