Death of the Mighty English Oak
Remember the POWER of the English Oak. Remember the majesty of the English Oak. As these mighty signs of the GOD are destroyed with the Mistletoe that grows in symbiotic relationship with them, all should cry. This willful destruction in the name of progress is another insult to the Mother and all of our paths. As commercial interests continue to destroy the symbols and gateways to our pathways in the Otherworld cry OUT for our loss. In Welsh myth the Oak tree is home to all the sciences and disciplines of knowledge. Without Knowledge, how can we come to Wisdom and Understanding? These three pillars of the complete union between man and his/her deity(ies) is the basis for our peaceful coexistence with the Bright, Other and Physical worlds. Are they lamenting the loss of yet another connection to the truth that we all stand for? Look at the faces of the protesters as they cry over the loss.
Let us all cry out in consternation at the destruction and further ignorance of our brothers and sisters. How can we ignore the Balanced messenger of two horses that SCREAM in pain as I did, with tears in my eyes as my friend the Oak was destroyed. Let us band together and make a stand for ourselves. The time is past for quiet acceptance of ignorance.
I for one, will stand in the Otherworld with my brother Oak Trees and lament the choices of a wide unaware world. I too, will work to keep the doorways open. Spiritual Union and consciousness raising, stand tall as our brother Oak does, speak to the awakening of people around you and stand in the Otherworld tall next to our brother Oak and sisters Ash and Thorn.
As Yule comes around, let NOT ignorance continue wherever you can channel LIGHT. Bring to light that coexistence is the TRUTH with all of our brothers and sisters regardless of their race, gender, species. I morn the loss of some of the most important and potent entities on the face of the physical world. Will you join me by adding to your Yule rituals a manifestation of the great KNOWLEDGE and assist the MAIDEN in protecting the forest and all of the Mothers creatures?
